According to paragraph 1 of article 7 of the decision of the Senate of the University of Thrace with no. ΔΠΘ/ΣΥΓΚ/44229/1596/15.06.2017: The teaching ability of candidates who are not members of the Democritus University of Thrace is assessed through a trial lesson. In the context of filling one (1) position of faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor of the Department of Physics of the School of Sciences of the Democritus University of Thrace, with the subject “Experimental Solid State Physics” and position code APP52206, you are invited to conduct a trial course to evaluate your teaching ability with available titles to choose from:

  1. “Nanomaterials and nanocomposites: Synthesis/development, characterization, properties and applications,”
  2. “Development of crystalline, amorphous materials in solid form and film form, as well as nanomaterials. Study of their structural, electrical, and optical properties and applications”.

The trial course will be held before the members of the Electoral Body, the Assembly of the Department, and the students of the Department of Physics of the University of Thrace who wish to attend. The trial lesson will be held in alphabetical order, with the possibility of candidates participating either in person in the “Pantelis Antoniadis” room or via videoconference. All candidates must be present on Friday, 17/6/2026 at 09:00 a.m., in person or online. The duration of each trial lesson is set at twenty (20) minutes, followed by five (5) minutes for questions.
