Mission
The mission of the Department is twofold: to achieve excellence in research and to transmit knowledge of physics to young scientists. Particularly:
- Contribute to the achievements of national and international educational and research institutions.
- Provide students with a wide range of career options and equip them with the skills and confidence to understand the role physics plays in leading-edge research, enabling them to become creative scientists.

Vision
For the students of the Department of Physics, what is avant-garde for today’s generation will be outdated tomorrow, what is based on common sense, which, according to Einstein, “is layers of prejudices that we acquire before we turn 16”, will be replaced by the cosmos of Quantum Physics, Relativity, Complexity, and exotic materials. The Department of Physics invites you to this cosmic dance of students, professors, and researchers with this world, the Small and the Big, because “We know so little and we guess so much and we learn so slowly that we ask and die” (PABLO NERUDA).
The Department’s structure is based on interdisciplinarity and incorporates the demands and expectations of the market, where modern physics trends are interconnected and influenced.
The vision of the Department is to establish it as a premier reference center with international standards in research, social work, and education, and to transform it into a leading, interdisciplinary department:
- In Identifying and Managing Complexity and Future Estimates.
- Development and study of new materials
- Quantum Theory of Information
- Applications of Chaos and Complexity Theory
- Physics in Society
- Economic physics
- Biomechanical problems
- Elemental bodies
- Physics and energy
