DUTh Hackathon: How we can shape the University of Tomorrow – Student and research teams from Democritus University of Thrace present innovative ideas and prototypes.

DUTh Hackathon 2025, a new initiative of the Innovation Hub of the Democritus University of Thrace in collaboration with Mantis Beyond Innovation, invites students, researchers, faculty members, and administrative staff to co-shape the “University of Tomorrow”.

The action aims to develop innovative ideas and functional prototypes that enhance education, research, interdisciplinary collaboration, entrepreneurship, the student experience, and the University’s connections with society and the market. With the guidance of experienced mentors, participants transform their ideas into solutions with substantial impact, culminating in the Final on November 30 in Xanthi.

Submissions are open until November 23 via the platform: https://duth.mantisims.gr/open-calls.

More information about the program can be found at https://innovation.duth.gr/hackathon/. To facilitate our students’ participation in the DUTh 2025 Hackathon, DUTH offers free transportation and accommodation in the dormitories of Xanthi (due to limited room availability, requests will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis). Individuals who will participate in the competition and wish to take advantage of the above benefits are invited to submit a relevant request by November 23 (12:00 PM) at the following link: https://forms.gle/r8eNNtXSs492MHda7.
