As a result of the transformation of the Department of Electrical Engineering of the former TEI-AMTH, with important distinctions and successes such as its active connection with the <\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">International European Center for Particulate Research (CERN)<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, the funding it has received from Europe, national and private bodies, and the number of social partners and companies supporting its research. The scientific journal <\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Journal of Engineering Science and Technology Review <\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> (<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"http:\/\/www.jestr.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> www.jestr.org <\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">) with Academician<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> D. Nanopoulos <\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">and Professor Emeritus <\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u0395. Gazi, <\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">as a co-publisher, is indicative of the work done\u2014one of the few scientific journals published in Greece and covered by the world-renowned scientific database SCOPUS.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Our Department serves all areas of Physics, including quantum and astrophysics, nuclear and particle physics, condensed matter, as well as their applications in telecommunications, computers, biomedicine, microelectronics, and nanotechnology.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Our logo embodies the Maxwell equations for electromagnetism, thus recalling its historical continuity from Engineering to Physics. Let us not forget that Paul Dirac and Richard Feynman (Nobel Prize in Physics 1933 and 1965, respectively) were Electrical Engineers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Today, the subject of Physics is much broader and extremely more complex. We diligently adhere to the basic pedagogical core of the science we serve, but we also go further. The <\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Complexity and Chaos <\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">lab is one of them. The cycle of systems from the simple to the complex and from the complex to chaos and the post-chaos order is the new emerging scientific field on an international scale.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">In Kavala, our students will find an exceptionally high level of academic studies, combined with research and a deep commitment to scientific excellence. With a teaching and research staff willing to solve questions and open to discussing new ideas. A challenging and demanding Department, but it will reward their efforts to contribute to a leading field like Physics.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Our laboratories have high-tech research equipment, with the help of which our students acquire and produce knowledge <\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">(research-driven education <\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">). <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> is, after all, our fundamental pedagogical choice for all levels of study, including undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral.
